Tasting Notes:

A deep golden amber color with pronounced aromas of panela sugar, dark caramel, toasted almonds, and walnuts. The velvety texture accentuates the sweet notes of dark caramel, raw sugar, toasted coconut, and almonds. The nutty profile lingers on the finish with hints of dark roast coffee and menthol.

 

History of the Cask:

A wonderful expression from the only distillery in El Salvador: Ingenio La Cabana. The Rum was distilled in 2007 after which it was filled into an American white oak cask at the distillery for 11 years of tropical ageing. In 2018 the cask traveled the Atlantic Ocean towards the United Kingdom for further maturation in the historic docks of Liverpool.
